Homer "Pappy" Lee Sherrill, ( 1915-2001) from Catawba County, North Carolina, was an old time and bluegrass fiddler DeWitt "Snuffy" Jenkins (1908 -1990), from Rutherford County, North Carolina, was an old time banjo player and an early proponent of the three-finger banjo style that eventually became identified with Earl Scruggs The pair played together starting in 1939 and continued through their entire lives in combination with numerous early country music musicians (accompanied here by John Harrod)
