played on musical saw by Asa Martin & the Cumberland Rangers during the Fraley Family Reunion and Festival of Traditional Music in Carter County, Kentucky in August 1973
Asa Martin (1900-1979) was a guitarist from Winchester (Clark County), Kentucky He is particularly well known for his recordings with the Doc Roberts Trio in the 1920s and 1930s, his association with country music comedian "Stringbean" (David Akeman), and his own country music groups heard on radio in the Lexington, Kentucky area during the late 1930s He did factory work for several years beginning in 1940 He resumed his musical career on a small bases in the 1960s with his new band "the Cumberland Rangers They appeared on WIRV radio in Irvin, Kentucky, playd at the Smithsonian Folk Festival and had a Rounder Records LP entitled "Dr Ginger Blue"
