Wallin Family singing was first documented in 1916 by British folklorist Cecil Sharp who transcribed ballads from Mitchell Wallin (1854-1932) Three decedents of Mitchell Wallin are heard on these recordings: Doug Wallin (1919-2000), his mother, Berzilla (1892- 1986), and her sister, Dellie Chandler Norton (1898-1993).
